In a nutshell....

The ECO 170 showerhead uses Venturi-Technology to mix air into the showering water, this gives a strong spray yet reduces the amount of water used by up to 70%. The ECO 170 fits any standard UK flexible shower hose and is fitted in under 5 minutes.

The ECO 170 is a wide 12cm diameter and 27cm length shower head that fits standard UK thread flexible shower hose.

The water saving Venturi technology in the ECO 170 works by introducing air into the showering water. The result is a strong, high volume spray while using significantly less water. I have the ECO 170 in my own home and while I have not measured the exact percentage of water saved I can say the difference is very noticeable. I have been impressed with the looks and build quality of this unit.

The head allows three spray settings illustrated in the images above and is a high quality, well made design. The spray nozzles are formed from high grade silicone which is easy to clean if limescale is an issue in your home.

The ECO 170 is fitted to any flexible shower hose in minutes and can be used as a handheld or overhead shower.

  • Can reduce water usage by up to 70% depending on water pressure. We have noted approx 50% reduction when trialed on our system.
  • Saving water reduces demand on global water reserves.
  • Reducing the amount of hot water used saves energy and reduces your impact on the environment.

A useful addition for the bathroom, saving on water already.

Can this be used with electric showers?

Hi John. Because an electric shower has a pump it produces a fixed flow rate that won't be effected by the showerhead. The head will fit but will not deliver appreciable water savings unfortunately. An electric shower, by it's nature, is quite water efficient anyway as it must have a relatively low flow rate for the element to heat the water as it passes through (an average of 6 litres per minute). I hope this answers your question. Andrew
